Oklahoma Horseshoeing School
Tuition Assistance Loan Information

The Oklahoma Horseshoeing School provides counseling for meeting educational costs. Please feel free to call the school's Financial Assistance Department.

Available financial assistance:

  • Bureau of Indian Affairs - The BIA is a program for Native Americans.  For more information contact your tribe.

  • Veterans Benefits - Notice to Veterans - Any student wishing to attend under VA assistance or GI Bill should check with his or her local office for the required forms. Bring these forms with you and our staff will be happy to fill in the necessary information.

  • Vocational Rehabilitation is a program developed for individuals who have injuries, physical handicaps, or learning disabilities. To apply, contact your local Vocational Rehabilitation Office.

  • WIA (Workforce Investment Act) was developed for certain unemployed or underemployed individuals.  The rules for this program varies in each state.  Please call for the location of your nearest WIA office.

  • SLM Financial Corporation (A Sallie Mae Company) - Oklahoma Horseshoeing School Students may apply for loans under the Career Training Program Sponsored by SLM Financial Corporation (A Sallie Mae Company).  Applications and instructions are included with this package.  To apply please return the enclosed Student Application/Contract, the SLM Loan Application and the Deposit for the course.  You can contact our Financial Assistance Department for the total allowed loan amount for each course.  A decision is usually available within 48 hours of the school's receipt of your applications and deposit.

  • Oklahoma Horseshoeing School Tuition Assistance Loans - are loans funded by Oklahoma Horseshoeing School for individuals who have an excellent credit rating and a co-borrower (non-spouse family member) who has an excellent rating. These loans are applicable only for courses containing horseshoeing.

An OHS Tuition Assistance loan generally covers up to two third of the tuition.

     2. The interest rate is 12% annually.
     3. An 8.75% origination fee is deducted from the loan. The balance of funds go toward tuition.

Payments are $100 per month.

     5.      Payments begin one month after you leave school.
     6.      Interest does not start until the first payment is due.
     7.      There is no interest if you pay the loan before your first payment is due.
     8.      There is no penalty for pre-payment.

TO APPLY PLEASE RETURN ALL OF THE FOLLOWING:
     1.      Oklahoma Horseshoeing School Enrollment Application Contract with deposit for the course.
     2.      Complete Oklahoma Horseshoeing School Online Tuition Assistance Loan Application. You must include a non-spouse family member co-borrower.

If you prefer to mail in your loan application, you may do so by completing the Mail-In Tuition Assistance Loan Application

THE NEXT STEPS ARE:

     1.      Credit application processed.
     2.      Upon approval of credit, a promissory note is sent to the applicant (and co-borrower).
     3.      Completed promissory note is returned to Oklahoma Horseshoeing School.
